July 2024 Study Summary

Hi lovely people.

Here is what I studied in July:

• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• LangChain
• Image Classification
• The HuggingFace platform
  
• The full HuggingFace Computer Vision course
• Creation and study of ~200 flashcards for ML terms
• Developed a system for using Claude as a tutor with a daily ML quiz
• Fine-tuning neural networks
  

 

From this point my studies will be broader programming topics, not just AI. I researched and analysed the different skills most sought after in software developer job listings. I want to compliment my existing experience and skills, and so have made a shortlist of what to study next. From this point on in my studies I'll be plugging gaps in my skills and levelling up as an all-round developer, rather than going all in on being a machine learning specialist. Ultimately, I realised, I want to be using AI and at the forefront of developments in AI but not working in it exclusively.

Next up: web development!
